Composite Laminate Cases for Oakely Sunglasses EMPLOYER: Foarm, Inc. (A Composites & Thermoforming Company). END CLIENT: Oakely (Eyeware and Accessories) PROJECT DATES: 1999 ~ 2007 TASKS: Styling & Industrial Design. Component Sourcing & Quoting. Solidworks 3D modeling and Rendering. Mold Design, Cutting Die Design & Fixture Design. Definately a full-service project: I defined the styling, inserts and details of these particular cases for Oakley; including design of the Thermoform Tooling and Cutting dies. Oakley is a style-conscious, design-oriented company. Even though I was an outside designer, they approved the styling without change.
