Brio "Sports Alert" Bicycle Lock & Alarm CLIENT: S. G. Hauser & Assoc. (Hauser, Inc.) END CLIENT: Brio Corp. (Chip Meyers) PROJECT DATES: 1/93-6/93 TASKS:  Mechanism Design Concepts. Detail Design of early sales prototype.  This was my first project for S. G. Hauser. The client required that we develop a bike motion alarm with a removable U-bar, recoiling security cable (held in Chip's hand) and a locking dovetail mount to attach the unit to the bike's frame when not in use. ALL four features had to be armed, dis-armed and mechanically unlocked by the movement of a single key-switch! A salesman (not knowing he was handling a hand-built prototype) threw the unit against the wall as a test.
