Fabrication, Assembly and Debug
of prototype mechanisms.
The prototypes used a bi-directional
obstruction-sensing motorized door and
a force-sensing resistor as a touch switch.
I designed it like a van sliding door in that
it slid in tracks to fit flush when closed.
To eliminate micro-switches, I specified
a motor-current-sensing circuit to
stop the door at the ends of travel,
as well as for obstructions.
